Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science Deemed to be University

Madanapalle Institute of Technology and Science Deemed to be University is a private institution in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is known for its focus on engineering, technology, innovation, and industry-oriented education. Established in 1998, MITS has grown from a regional engineering college into a multidisciplinary university.

In 2025, the institution was granted Deemed to be University status.

Located in Madanapalle, a scenic town in the Chittoor district of Andhra Pradesh, the university provides a modern learning environment. Positioned between major cities such as Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, it maintains links with leading industries, technology hubs, and research organisations across southern India.

It is organised into several specialised schools, including the School of Engineering, School of Computing, School of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, and School of Management. These schools offer a wide range of undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral programmes across disciplines such as computer science and engineering, artificial intelligence, data science, cyber security, electronics and communication engineering, civil engineering, mechanical engineering, bioinformatics, business administration, computer applications, and management studies. 

Since 2016, MITS students have participated in international initiatives, including Stanford University’s University Innovation Fellows programme and internship opportunities in Taiwan.
